Our Executive Team

Donald Calvert has spent over 35 years working in the Health & Welfare Benefits field. As Vice President of Health & Welfare for Cundy, he is responsible for developing effective strategic solutions for meeting the health & welfare needs of CUNDY clients.

Don’s work experience includes consulting with a local South Florida benefits firm, as well as many years working for national insurance carriers including CIGNA, UnitedHealthcare and MassMutual.

Specific career experiences include:

• Development and management of consulting assignments, including employee benefit design and pricing; coordination of competitive marketing; claim projections; review of health plan performance, including evaluation and negotiation of premium rate and self funded ASO and Stop Loss renewals; data warehousing projects; pharmacy benefit management carve out, employee communications, and the development and implementation of voluntary benefit programs including limited medical plans.
• Large group sales with national insurance carriers including CIGNA and UnitedHealthcare. When Don was at UnitedHealthcare he was the National Account Rep for the largest fully insured account in UnitedHealthcare’s history with over 55,000 members. Don was awarded the top producer in the nation for UnitedHealthcare key accounts in 2002.

Don grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (cum laude) with a Bachelors of Science degree. He obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation through the American College.
